Your appointment begins with a detailed assessment of your jaw joints, muscles, teeth and bite. The Quay Dental team will ask when your symptoms started, what makes them worse and whether you grind or clench your teeth.
With guidance from Dr Farjo, treatment may include a custom dental splint, night guard or practical advice for reducing pressure on the jaw. Depending on the cause, snoring mouth guards or Orthodontics may also be discussed.
Some patients may benefit from working with another healthcare professional, such as a physiotherapist, where muscle tension or jaw movement requires broader support. Care at our practice is tailored to your symptoms rather than using the same approach for every patient.
